Volley All Festival takes huge strides in 2011
Lausanne, Switzerland, January 31, 2012 – The FIVB’s Volley All Festival made astonishing steps in 2011 with approximately 417,000 people taking part in events around the world according to a new report published by the sport’s governing body on Tuesday.
Additionally, Festivals were held in 53 countries with over 150 media outlets attending, helping spread the FIVB’s continued dedication to developing the sport in all regions.
Africa held the most Volley All Festivals with 18 in total, followed by Europe with 15, Asia with 13, NORCECA with five and South America with two.
With the project now in its third year, it is estimated that 1.3 million people have attended one of the events, helping bring considerable value to the promotion and development of both volleyball and beach volleyball.
